Service Learning Activity of Grade 4

As a part of Service Learning Activity, our students of grade 4 visited Senior Citizens Home, run by Nishaya Sewa Sadan, Shantinagar. They spent some moments with the old people and listened to their stories. They gifted handmade greeting cards and some fruits which the senior citizens welcomed with bright smile. The students were also very happy to receive blessings from them.  But they were shocked to see the bitter reality of our society where so many people are abandoned at old age due to various circumstances. After their visit they discovered the empathy within themselves, the joy of serving and also realized their responsibility to take care of their parents and grandparents during their old age.
