Grade 4 Field Trip to Khalisisi

To broaden the horizon of their practical knowledge about 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle), students of grade four visited Khaalisisi, a waste management company which is working with the vision to build Nepal as the World’s top 20 Recycling Nations by 2030.During the visit our students were made aware of the problem of waste management in Nepal and how we can contribute to keep our environment clean by recycling and reusing the things before sending it to the land field. Students observed different items reused and recycled by Khaalisisi. Among the different items they found the recycled newspaper pencil quite interesting. It was made completely out of newspaper.They also visited the scrap yard and got clear concept about the waste that can be recycled.
