Fieldwork Education to Pharping Hydropower Station
The Inquiry into the increasing gap between modern and ancient technology used in hydropower production led our grade 6,7&8 students to visit the historic and the first hydropower station of Nepal at Pharping, situated at the southern part of the valley. Students learned about the history of the power station and technology used in generating the electricity in the century-old power station established by prime minister Chandra Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana. On the way back to the school, our students realized the profound effect of forces of water in human life.
